So for the past few years we have been trying to talk Tucker into riding a sheep at the rodeo. He finally decided that he would do it. I signed him up then instantly regretted it. What was I thinking? Why would I put him harms way? But his dad says that every little boy should ride a sheep, it makes him a man. Well, I am not ready for him to be a man!! Oh well, what could I do. So I put my brave mom face and went along for the ride. Tucker was really really excited so why was I worrying? That night we went to the parade then over to the rodeo. They made their first call for the mutton busters and my heart dropped. He was still excited at this point. Kevin took him down behind the shoots and my nerves were going crazy. Then it was his turn. Apparently he finally got scared. He started to cry saying he didn't want to ride but Kevin told him that he didn't have a choice. He told the shoot man to open the gate and out they came. Well for a few feet anyway. (And I couldn't get the camera to work fast enough) He fell off a ways out but he did it and he didn't break any bones :) Happy mom. He came back up to the stands with a new belt buckle and scarf. He was pretty proud of himself and I was relieved!! We told our neighbors and LaRae said that we should be turned in for child abuse. I wonder what she will think when he ride again at the Bull Bonanza?!?
