We LOVE Miss Mindy :)

Damn BIRDS!!

Tuck reaches 100 AR Points

Spring Soccer

Monster Trucks

Every little boys DREAM come TRUE. Every year my boys are so jealous of Brad & Mindy & their boys as they headed off the the MONSTER JAM in Pocatello. So this year we, along with our friends the Stewart's, loaded up the kids and headed north to see what the hype was all about. The boys thought it was best thing ever and Harley, well she's Harley. Even if she was having the best time ever she would NEVER admit it.

Stratton's Kindergarten SHOTS!!

My Stratt-man had to have his Kindergarten shots and the poor little guys leg swelled up :( He was such a good boy at the Doctors office. He didn't even cry when the nurses gave him the shots. But the day day he could barely even walk. It made me so sad to see him hurt like that. His right leg swelled up twice the size of the other. I had to call the ER and make sure that he was ok. They said that that will occasionally happen and that the next day it should be better. Lucky for us it was and now my little guy isn't so little anymore :( He's going to be a BIG kindergartner!

Easter 2010

After a LONG wait for Dad to get home we can FINALY hunt for those eggs.

ON YOUR MARKS, GET SET, GOOOO!!!!

Preston Easter Egg Hunt

Who takes their kids to an Easter egg hunt just after a snow storm? Apparently I do...and they LOVED every minute of it. It may have been cold and a little tricky finding the eggs but it was sure fun!! We grab our buckets and when the bell rang off they went. I have to say that they made out like little bandits. Their buckets were by far the fullest that they have ever been after the city hunt. Maybe we should pray for snow each year...on second thought maybe not. But in the end they were super happy that we went.

Lajoa Beach

You can't go to California and not hit the beach...Well, actually I could! Had a terrible experience :( As we were traveling back to Long Beach we stop at a sandy beach and thought how fun for the kids right? When in reality it was soooo SCARY! We walked out to where the water was just barley hitting so that we would be about a half a foot in when the waves hit. Well little did we know that occasionally a BIG wave comes in and it literally tries to pull you out to sea. Both Tucker & Stratt fell down because the current was so strong and I had to catch them to as they drifted with the wave. SO STINKING SCARY!! My purse fell into the water. Totally ruined my new camera and got my cell phone all wet. Needless to say we didn't stick around. We finished our trip back to Long Beach, all soaking wet and FULL of sand, and went swimming in the hotel pool where everything was nice, calm & predictable... :)

Lajoa Aquarium

On our way back to Long Beach we decided to hit the Lajoa Aquarium. The kids LOVED it!!
I thought they were scared of SHARKS :)

I think they just found Nemo and Dory!! That was probably the highlight of the entire place. That and holding the starfish. It was a great little place to visit. And a nice side step on our way home :)

SeaWorld

So the day started out terrible. Pouring rain. And I mean really POURING!! We were not sure what we were going to do for sure. Do we go or do we not? That was the question...We had to validate our tickets so we decided to drive over the park and decided from there. While I was waiting in line to get the tickets, Kevin and the kids waited in the car and made the decision that we would go back to the hotel and get their hoodies and rain jackets and brave the weather since the sun was trying to come out. I have to admit that I am glad they decided to stay. There was not many people there. Which was so nice ;)

SeaWorld
Penguin encounter
Tucker feeding the Sea Lions...too bad a seagull got it before the lion did. Darn Birds :(
This lion would sit and talk and talk until someone threw a fish to her.
Waiting for the Sea Lion show...Even the pre-show was entertaining!!
A Sea Lion doing one of his many, many tricks
Big ball of blubber, I mean a really really large Manatee!! Amazing!!
Dolphin pool. They would swim right up to you and let you pet them and feed them.
Pink Flamingo's
Kevin being brave and feeding a Sting Ray...no one else dared!!
Harley reaching for a Starfish. Hardly believable (I wouldn't believe it if I didn't have a picture to prove it :) )
Stratton holding a Starfish
The boys waiting for the BIG show
The girls waiting for the BIG show
A dedication to a lost trainer...She drowned earlier in the week @ the Florida SeaWorld :( Because of this tragic accident that show had been canceled the entire week and we were able to see the 1st show since her death. They modified the show to what they called a "dry show" meaning the trainers would not get into the water with the whales. I must admit that it was a great show regardless.
Introducing SHAMU!!
Doing some break dancing spins

The 3 whales in the show. This was an absolutely amazing show...even though it was pouring rain AGAIN. It is mind boggling that the trainers are able to teach these magnificent creatures to do what they do. The flips, the splashes, the poses...It's awesome. I am so glad that we included this as part of our journey!!
